Interactive TradingView charts with technical indicators and drawing tools

Open in App

Overview

The Charting page provides a full-featured TradingView interactive chart for any stock symbol. It supports multiple timeframes, dozens of technical indicators, drawing tools, and comparison overlays. This is the primary tool for detailed technical analysis of individual securities.

Timeframes

Switch between different timeframes to analyze price action at various scales. Available timeframes include intraday (1m, 5m, 15m, 1h) and daily/weekly/monthly views.

TimeframeBest For
1m / 5mIntraday scalping and very short-term analysis
15m / 1hDay trading and short-term swing setups
DailySwing trading and position trading (most common)
WeeklyIntermediate-term trend analysis
MonthlyLong-term trend identification and major support/resistance

Technical Indicators

Click the indicators button to add technical overlays to the chart. Popular options include Moving Averages (SMA, EMA), RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, Volume Profile, and many more. Multiple indicators can be active simultaneously.

Tip

Start with the basics: a 20-period and 50-period EMA for trend direction, RSI for momentum, and volume bars for confirmation. Add complexity only when you understand the fundamentals.

Drawing Tools

Use the drawing toolbar on the left side to add trendlines, horizontal support/resistance levels, Fibonacci retracements, channels, and other annotation tools. Drawings persist for the current session.

How to Use

  • Enter a stock symbol in the search bar or navigate from another page
  • Select your preferred timeframe based on your trading horizon
  • Add technical indicators to identify trend, momentum, and support/resistance
  • Use drawing tools to mark key price levels and patterns
  • Compare with other symbols using the comparison overlay feature

Common Workflows

Multi-Timeframe Analysis

  • Start with the Weekly chart to identify the major trend direction
  • Move to the Daily chart to identify swing entry zones
  • Drop to 1H or 15m for precise entry timing
  • All three timeframes should agree on direction for highest-probability setups

Support/Resistance Mapping

  • Use horizontal line tool to mark levels where price has bounced multiple times
  • Draw trendlines connecting swing lows (uptrend) or swing highs (downtrend)
  • Add Fibonacci retracements from a major swing low to swing high to find pullback zones
  • These levels serve as entry, stop, and target references
