Overview

Market Overview is the default landing view when you open Aiime. It provides a real-time snapshot of the broader market including major indexes, top movers, sector ETF performance, and market seasonality data. Use this as your starting point each session to understand the overall market environment before drilling into individual stocks.

Major Indexes

The top section displays real-time data for major market indexes. Each index card shows the current price, daily change (absolute and percentage), and a visual indicator of direction.

IndexWhat It Tracks
S&P 500The 500 largest U.S. companies by market cap
NASDAQ CompositeAll stocks listed on the NASDAQ exchange (tech-heavy)
DOW Jones30 large-cap blue-chip industrial companies

Note

Green values indicate positive movement. Red values indicate negative movement. Data auto-refreshes approximately every 60 seconds during market hours.

Top Movers

The top movers section displays stocks with the largest percentage gains and losses for the current trading session. This helps identify momentum opportunities and potential mean-reversion plays.

Top Gainers

Stocks with the highest positive percentage change for the day. Click any symbol to open its detailed chart view.

Top Losers

Stocks with the largest negative percentage change. Significant drops may represent either risk events or potential buying opportunities depending on the context.

Sector ETF Performance

Displays performance of sector ETFs (e.g., XLK for Technology, XLF for Financials) to help you identify which sectors are leading or lagging. Sector rotation is a core concept in market analysis.

Market Seasonality

The seasonality table shows historical monthly return patterns for major indexes and popular stocks. This data helps contextualize current performance relative to historical tendencies for the same calendar period.

Tip

Seasonality data is a supplementary tool, not a standalone signal. Use it to add context to your other research findings.

How to Use

  • Check index performance first to gauge the overall market sentiment (risk-on vs risk-off)
  • Review top movers to spot stocks with unusual momentum
  • Examine sector ETF performance for sector rotation signals
  • Use seasonality data to contextualize current conditions against historical patterns
  • Click any stock symbol to navigate to its detailed chart

Combining with Other Tools

  • If indexes are strongly green, check Composite Ranking for high-momentum stocks riding the wave
  • If a sector ETF is outperforming, filter Composite or Technical Ranking by that sector for stock ideas
  • When top movers overlap with Volume Alerts, the move has institutional participation and is more likely to sustain
  • Use Market Regimes alongside Market Overview to understand whether the current session fits a trending or mean-reverting environment
  • If all indexes are red, check Short Interest for potential squeeze candidates and Dark Pool for institutional accumulation in the dip
