Overview

Congressional Dashboard monitors stock trades disclosed by members of the United States Congress under the STOCK Act. Members are required to report securities transactions within 45 days. This dashboard aggregates, analyzes, and ranks congressional trading activity with performance tracking and ML-generated momentum scores.

Politicians (Leaderboard)

Ranked list of Congress members by trading performance. Shows return metrics, trade volume, and performance over various time periods.

  • -Politician name, chamber (House/Senate), and party
  • -Total return and average trade return
  • -Number of trades and frequency
  • -Performance ranking over 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y periods
Congress Activity (Momentum)

ML-generated momentum scores for stocks with recent congressional trading activity. Highlights stocks where multiple members are active.

  • -Momentum score combining volume and sentiment of congressional trades
  • -Number of unique Congress members trading the stock
  • -Aggregate buy vs sell activity
  • -Bipartisan indicator (both parties trading)
All Trades

Complete feed of all disclosed congressional trades with comprehensive filtering options.

  • -Transaction date, disclosure date, and filing delay
  • -Politician name, chamber, and party
  • -Stock symbol, trade type (Purchase/Sale), and estimated amount
  • -SEC filing links for verification
  • -Filters for symbol, chamber, party, trade type, and date range
Stock Search

Search any stock symbol to see all congressional trading activity for that security across all members.

  • -All congressional transactions for the searched stock
  • -Breakdown by chamber and party
  • -Buy vs sell volume comparison
  • -Timeline visualization of trades
Politician Detail

Deep-dive into an individual politician's trading history and performance metrics.

  • -Complete trade history for the selected member
  • -Portfolio composition (if inferable)

  • -Most traded sectors and stocks
Late Reports

Tracks trades filed past the 45-day STOCK Act disclosure deadline. Late filings may indicate attempts to avoid timely scrutiny.

  • -Politician, stock, and estimated trade value
  • -Reporting delay analysis

How to Use

  • Check the Politicians Leaderboard to see which members have the best trading track records
  • Use the Momentum tab to find stocks with concentrated recent congressional activity
  • Search for specific stocks in the Stock Search tab to check for congressional interest
  • Bipartisan signals (both parties buying the same stock) may carry more weight
  • Review the Late Reports tab for transparency and accountability tracking
  • Export data to CSV for compliance reporting or further analysis

Congressional trade data is sourced from public STOCK Act disclosures and third-party aggregators. Reporting delays mean the data may not reflect current positions. Use for research and awareness purposes only.

Combining with Other Tools

  • Cross-reference with Insider Intelligence — stocks where both insiders and Congress members are buying deserve attention
  • Check Institutional (13F) to see if institutional money is flowing in the same direction as Congress
  • Use Composite Ranking to validate whether congressionally popular stocks are fundamentally and technically sound
  • If a stock appears in Congressional Activity AND has a high ALEEP Score, the multi-source confluence is strong
